Tunze vs Jebao return pump and good skimmer with small footprint (sca-301?) for 54G?

Ok slowly getting ready to set up my 54G corner, picked up my Aqueon Proflex model 1 (may build 15T eventually but with baby on the way want to get the tank rolling!) they recommend the Aqueon 2500 pump and Coralife 65 skimmer. Rather see my other options, will be going berlin with skimmer in 2nd chamber. Looking to order this weekend

Looking at pumps, was first going Rio but now I'm in between Tunze and Jebao DC6000. Trying to stay around $100 for now, could upgrade later possibly. I was thinking of doing a ball valve on the return side to control flow as well. (looking at flex or spa flex)

Also what a good skimmer, I was thinking of getting a SCA-301, heard good reviews.
Could I upgrade the pump on this later if it went out?

Sump chamber 2 is 4 3/4x 9 7/8" for skimmer and return chamber 3 is 6 1/4"

One of the best parts about the DC pumps (like the Jebao you posted), and the reason they are becoming popular, is that they are adjustable. Lower the voltage, lower the flow. No need for the ball valve, one less part to clog/fail.

I've been running the SCA-301 for 19wks. Gotta say, it rocks! Very quiet, easily adjustable, drain port and is a pig with the nog
However for your 56g I'd get the SCA-302. Give yourself permission to overstock on corals

Thanks! I heard of DC pumps failing but I guess it's like anything really!

I'd love to get the 302 but not enough room unfortunately
