This is my fish tank just got a new light has been dark for a week or 2 and parameters seem stable. Not sure how to help things along any advice of things to get or do.

What do you mean by LR? And it is 40 gallons with a 10 gallon sumpThe amount of LR in the tank seems low. How large is your tank, and how much LR do you have in it?
LR is live rock. Generally you want about 1 to 2 pounds of rock per gallon of water, so you would want about 40 pounds of rock as a minimum.
For calculations like this you usually want to ignore the water in the sump, since the sump typically doesn't hold that much water.
