Snails in Hood of Tank

For some reason, several of my snails keep going and staying in the hood of my 28g nano. The smaller snails stay in the tank but the larger ones I received as part of the 15g cuc package from Reef Cleaners are always in the hood. Any idea why?

Mine used to do that too but I never knew why. I kept an eye out for them and just tossed them back in.

I had that when I first added my CUC from reef cleaners. They eventually stop doing it, I think John told me the snails are exploring new territory, and just learn after a while where the water stops, and where they want to be.

So far, the hood seems to be their favorite place *rolling eyes* Thank you

when they get hungry, they will migrate to food (algae)
