I won't post to many pictures here as I plan on making a build thread once I figure out how many gallons my new tank is and accumulate enough pictures and progress to answer questions as I go. That said... Tonight was a bit of an elbow grease butt whooping.

1) painted the new tank wall
2) added outdoor gaskets to the outlets behind the tank
3) cleaned the sump, protein skimmer and some misc parts
4) built the back "splash wall" for the stand and siliconed it into place

Goodnight all

I will see if i can remember how to post a video. The 75 looks amazing with all the coral it has in it, although it is way to much for the current layout. I am excited that I should have the new one up and running this weekend. What a kick in the butt it has been to spend this much time and effort putting in the details i have always wanted.

Is it bad that i want to wait to be done to share? I am very excited about the progress, setbacks, lessons learned, and efforts.

I think we will all like to see the progress step by step but you can do whatever you want! Looking forward for the pics my friend.

Been busy as usual so I didn't get the progress I wanted. Partly due to waiting on some parts to be 3D printed. But got everything in and glued tonight so I can move water in 3 days. That means tomorrow is glueing the plumbing and setting the sump up.

In the interim, I will be working on this bad boy. This is my draft model, so eventually I will have someone more skilled remake it for me... But for now

Well, we are nearing the day. I have setup the new tank, started the draft on the new thread and should be breaking this down for its new home this week.

The best part about this journey is that this tank is going to a friend. We will paint the stand and canopy, drill the tank, build components and then set him up with coral and a system i always wanted this one to be :D

I love this hobby, but really find the drive in seeing it grow with others :D

The old tank started back up today! My buddy did a great job in selection and we had a lot of fun building it out. Hard to believe how he nailed so many of the things I wanted to do with it!

1) Drilled
2) Overflow box added
3) Great pipe colors
4) pretty slick plumbing setup (if I sound bias, it was my part of the project)
5) Painted stand
6) Black paint back of tank
7) Black paint back of sump

Next he is going to rebuild the doors and add hardware so he can lock his kids out of it and paint the canopy. He purchased AI lights and the hanging kit will be in this week. But for now, enough talking from me....
