repairing a chiller?

I have a 4 year old Current 1/15 hp chiller on a 20 gallon reef tank and it doesn't seem to be working anymore. The unit's electronics work as they should but when the chiller kicks on, it stays on forever without chilling the water.

Can an aquarium chiller be repaired, and if so what would it cost? This was only a $300 chiller new.

When I bought the chiller, I didn't have air conditioning and it was a necessity but now I am in an apartment with central air and the tank seems to be staying around 80.

Thanks,
Dan

Yeah it can be repaired. You need to bring it to an ac repair shop. They need to tap a valve into the freon line (these chillers come with sealed lines) and recharge the freon. Be sure after they tap it, they need to add the freon dye to check for possible leaks.
