Refugium info / pics

After reading through NaH2O's macroalgea thread, I am starting to think about building a refugium again.

I currently have a 58G tank with a 20G sump (with CC and LR) and don't know if I have to add a seperate refugium or can I convert my sump.

Could you possibly post some pics of your refugiums and/or possibly give a description of what your refugium consists of and how it fits into your overall system?

Thanks, I know it's a lot to ask and possibly too much for a single thread..

I have my refuge built into my Sump. This is a topic that you will get a few different opinions on.
I just sectioned my sump off into 3 sections:
Section 1: Protein Skimmer, Heater, inlet to sump
Section 2: Refuge- 4" DSB and Caluprea
Section 3: Float valve, and return pump, I also have a small area that I can put a bag of Carbon in once a month for 3 days.

I also have my sump split into three areas, inlet where the heater and skimmer live, CC and LR, and then the pump back to the tank.

Sounds like the only thing missing is a light and some macroalgea!

BTW, looks as if your DIY skimmer works pretty well.

Thanks for the pics and info
