How deep is your sand bed?

It's about 1.5 inches. Have 65lbs of Fiji pink in there

He is probably just making the best out of a shallow sandbed. They like deep sand to create burrows. Like 4+ inches of sand. You can use a container to create an area of deeper sand,but he may not use it. Just my opinion but he may not do well in those conditions and will probably remain stressed without being able to build burrow to feel safe in.

haven't had issues in the past. I have lots of rock in the tank for him to borrow under my other BSJF did just that. I am going to add some rubble and see if he builds.
