I have what looks like an oyster or mussel of some variety. I only noticed it the last couple of days as my Zoas are not staying open like usual.
I have looked over all the info I can find, but I cant seem to figure out what that is. Thanks for your help!
There are many, many different types of bivalves. It does look like a bivalve of some sort. It may irritate the corals when it opens and closes, but won't harm them.
Maybe a Mytilus? Shouldn't harm the zoa's, I have several in my tank that are growing slowly. Also that's gorgeous maroon, is it a Ora gold nugget?
Edit: might be a mytilus trossulus, just my 2cents.
Thank you! And it's a maroon goldflake. I was trying to stay with peaceful fish but he was so pretty... And I'm a redskins fan... So I couldn't resist him!
