Picking up a used S500

As the title says, I am picking up a used S500 this week and would like to know if a Teco TK 500 chiller/heater will sufice or do I need the TK1000, the tank was cheap but with buying all the extras, money is tight.

Sure some S500 members can advise on the chiller size... for this 135 gallon tank

Did you already decide you need to run a chiller?

The TK 500 should be fine, its good for 500 litres at 25C and 30C ambient temperature

Our lounge does get hot in the summer and what with the lights and pumps I thought best to instal now, also like the fact it has a built in heater.
I was worried about spending £650 on a TK500 chiller and then finding out next summer I would have been better advised to get the TK1000.
I am sure there are other members with a S500 who can advise.

Well pulled the trigger on the TK500 today, not a cheap hobby!

Its a great bit of kit, also the support you'll get in the UK from the distributor if you should need it is first class.
