hello everyone:
i am doing hiposalinity to 2 clowns that have ich in a 10 gallon hospital/quarantine tank. ammonia is about 1ppm-2ppm but i am using ammo-lock from API plus many water changes. Now nitrite really concerns me. nitrite is about 5ppm right now. but i also read that nitrite doesn't hurt saltwater fishes below 100ppm. is it true? should i worry about this nitrite spike. clownfish are acting normal and eating a lot. thanks for read

both ammonia and nitrite hurt your fish. do a big water change

...nitrATE can be tolerated by your fish in quanities higher than zero.

big waterchange. Too much amonia will damage them permanantly if it doesnt kill them.
