Noobie here, I have 2 tanks one is 170 ltrs (4 months old) the other 50 ltrs (9 months old), the above readings apply to both. I'm a little worried about my NO3 readings, I know they seem good but can they really be that good in these tanks, I'd rather expected them to be around 20-30 mg/l. My larger tank has a marisys filter which claims to establish anaerobic cycles but I am a little sceptical, my smaller tank doesn't and doesn't even have a protein skimmer so the readings seem a little unbelievable.
Could they be correct or is there a reason I might be getting false readings, I did purchase a new test kit to eliminate the possibility my original kit was out of date.
