Hello All

So i have setup my new 80g shallow reef tank. Will list the bits later.

I have added new sand and added 20lbs new live rock plus 20 lbs my old live rock. I can add about another 20lbs my old rock but my LTA is on it and im nervous about moving it to a newer tank.

With new sand bed and miracle mud in the sump plus old rock is there much to fear? I haven't moved any live stock as of yet.

The tank will cycle, although it may only be a minor one. Make sure you give the system time to do this even if it looks good. I'm thinking several weeks, just to be sure.

You might want to add a hand full of sand from the old system to seed the new sandbed. Take the sans only from the top inch or so.

Then test all your parameters ob both systems and if they are ok, move the rest of the live rock and livestock.

Went well. All fish and shrimp transferred and happy. Best part is my clowns decided to like each other after the move. Corals growing like mad atm.
