    Hi
My lfs here in the UK just told that there is a new model of the reefer deluxe aquariums yet I cant find any info about them, can you confirm if this is true, if so have you any details on what the new models will be andwhen they will be released in the UK.
Im thinking of getting one but don't want to get one if there is a new model (I presume better) coming out soon
    Thanks

I thought that the RS Reefer Deluxe was simply an RS Reefer with LED lighting included.....

Maybe shoot them a note on their site, they are usually pretty good with their customers.

Red Sea markets great stuff but their kits are extremely expensive.
In Canada, the reefer ( without lights) starts at $2K and goes to $6k

    That's crazy.

You would be really hard pressed to get much better lighting that AI Hydras. Maybe EcoTech Radions and a very few others. This could easily be a case of a newer design not being any better or possibly even worse. This often occurs when the price must be kept down or there was a falling out between the manufacturers.

I realize that everyone wants the "latest and greatest" but if it's a new design that isn't out yet or it's just out, wait awhile before you consider it. Often a new design has problems that need to be worked out, and it may only be marginal better than the old design. While you might loose some bragging rights, stick with the old design until the new one is out awhile and fully user tested by others.

Tending to agree as I haven't heard a bad word really about the hydras and radions are just stupidly expensive
