hi all --
I picked up an alvipora frag at my LFS that was about 50% dead. Apparently someone took it back to him cuz it wasn't doing well in his tank, so I got it for $8. I'm having great luck with gonipora (flowerpot) which is supposed to be harder, so I thought why not?
My question is this: if I can save it, where will new growth start to appear? Will the dead branches start getting new polyps or will it start to grow out where the currently still alive polyps are? I kinda wanted to break off the dead part to make the shape fit in its place better but I won't if it might slow down any potential recovery.
Thanks.
