I'm posting this here as a record of my next saltwater aquarium.

This is the start. I used a coarse coral substrate, about 2 inches deep.

I put in some live rock about 3 weeks later and this little guy

I bought a half dozen hermits and a few snails along with a small damsel. He's a jerk, always hiding behind a rock.

I ordered 10 more lbs of live rock from Amazon.com and I am very happy about the product. I asked the seller for fist sized pieces and was pleased with how well they responded.

The tank is now about 2 months old and I like it.
I'm ready to start adding corals.

The tank is a 20 gallon. I am using a 24' solarmax ho lighting fixture. I accidentally ordered an 800 gph powerhead, so you could imagine what happened when I turned that thing on. I'll put in a smaller one soon.
If anyone in midstate South Carolina want to set up a trade I'd be willing to swap for a smaller powerhead.
I will upgrade the filtration soon. Any suggestions? Cost effective options would be best.
Finally, any advice or suggestions? Thanks for taking a look.
