Just a little bit about myself first of all if you're wondering why I've called myself Mr tap water it was simply because when I first started joining forums I was using tapwater at the time and successfully I may add, and just thought it was appropriate at the time ,but for nearly 3 years now I have been using RO water and just kept the name to save confusion on past threads.

I started keeping marines in the mid 70s and have had them on and off over the years and I have had A variety of freshwater tanks in between. The Tank I have at the moment has been running almost 7 years now.
    Here's a few up-to-date pictures.

    Thank you.
Not as much as you would think I do 30L a week which keeps my stats at what you see, but I also do roughly another 30 L of fresh RO water which is lost through evaporation A week.

Thank you very much, all my angels are as good as gold except for one The black velvet, which I knew I was taking a chance when I bought him, but he's only ate one of my LPSs which was a doughnut coral since then he has not touched anything else so far fingers crossed.

I was just wondering how many tangs you have. I get my 650 shortly and everywhere says no more than 1 or 2 tangs but you have loads!? Do they fight etc and did you add them together or separate times. I read that much on this stuff everybody says different things but you've got them so.

And what a beautiful tank as well - very nice.

Hi there , what works for one may not work for others ,from my own experience and my opinion you can deafly have more than two , but you may encounter difficulties with which ones to introduce first this is where knowledge or experience comes into play I believe , Plus you need to take into account that some grow bigger and can be more aggressive and like to swim more then other varieties of tangs ,and because every tank runs different ,some of us can get away with more than others can ,for longer periods of time, but the more you have eventually you will have to get a bigger tank or move them on ,which more and lightly will be to do with aggression or size ,just like I will have to do eventually ,and in my opinion when people say you can only have two in that size tank that you choose, Half of them have never had tangs or just struggled to keep the ones They had , or have just passed on information Which have been passed on from years ago . And not taking into account things have moved on from then .with the things we have now to aid our systems ie better filter systems and No3 remover products makes it easier to Substrain a healthy and larger amount of fish, for longer periods of time,

I would just like to say after saying all this it is just my opinion and from my own experiences and I have already said what works for one my not work for others . Plus other half of you out there who say you can't have tangs in certain size tanks I respect there opinion and their beliefs.

Many thanks for your advice and great pictures. Might have to steel some of your designs for my new tank!

I have read hundreds of threads and I agree a lot of advice is from years ago and not on modern tanks and equipment. A lot still to learn though for me.

    You're welcome and thank you.
There is still a lot of good advice out there and some of it is old it's just that some of us like a challenge and take a few chances along the way and Some like to play it safe which I can understand. Good luck on what ever you decide to do.
