Oh NO....none of that sounds good :( Sorry for your troubles.
Hope the RO addition didn't drop your SG too low! Better check it BEFORE your WC and bring it back up VERY SLOWLY if it did. Hang in there, take deep (hopefully pain free) breaths & keep us posted.
Wishing you BETTER DAYS!

The dreaded wet floor..... Ugh, I feel for you! Any update on what happened? Sometimes skimmers push water up and out, possible that happened here?

First... you must understand that I have a bulging disc in my lower back plus degenerative disc disease... yuck. For me to take a fall like that is bad news. So, I saw my specialist on Friday and she has me going in for an MRI Monday night, EMG sometime next week for a nerve damage check and another epidural for a steroid injection (I was coming due for one anyway - it's been 10 months). Not fun. The good news is that 1. I got great pain meds and I don't feel it anymore. 2. My tank is in better shape than me. Twisted? Demented? Yes! :spinner:

The reason why the fuge emptied onto my floor? Simple, stupid, human error... aka me. If you see my earlier post above, I had setup two Chemi Pure Elite bags in the same part of the fuge as the skimmer return flow pipe. The directions said to place the bags in a high flow area if you're not using them in a canister filter. I put one near my first baffle and I clipped the other one near the skimmer return pipe. Well... the bag must have slipped out of the clip right in front of the return pipe because I found it wedged and blocking the return. This blocked all the water back through the pipe, and up and out the only available outlets: the hole for the air intake and the tube to the waste container. The waste container was full of water and overflowing. There was water spray all over the rest of the equipment from where the water shoot out of the air intake hole.

I'll never make that mistake again.

My flooded floors were not as bad as yours cause mine was FW not SW. Just got my bathroom, dressing room, walk-in closet, and bedroom floors and rugs cleaned up & put back down today.
I hope your back isn't farther damaged...sounds miserable! :(
You need some NEW PICTURES for your thread Mayja! Hint hint :yup:

Yesterday I picked up a pearly jawfish that had been held in quarantine for me for the past couple weeks. Once I got him home, he acclimated for an hour and a half and immediately dove into the rocks. This morning, he has already made a burrow beneath one of my smaller pieces of live rock. It looks temporary as it is not very deep and in the back of the tank (he's only 2 inches long). He was popping his head out cautiously, but looking healthy and happy. I'll post pics once he stays out long enough for the shot.

I came home from work last night and as always I checked in on my tank. Everything looked good. My jawfish has been getting really settled into his new home and came out to greet me. I figured this would be the best picture moment, so I went to get my camera. By the time I walked back, he was gone. Bummer.

So, I go out to dinner with hubby and come back in hopes of getting that photo. The jawfish is still missing. Now I'm worried. I can't see him in his hole. In fact ,I can't see him in any of his usual spots (which were only a couple ). Finally, I reach in to lift the rock he burrowed under. There wasn't much left. My cuc is insanely fast.

I have no idea what killed him. A partial collapse? State of shock? I'm so sad. He was doing so well.

Sorry to hear that Mayja.. If a fish is healthy and doing well and a couple of hours later he is dead I would have to guess that your assumption on a partial rock slide is valid. Or maybe you have a bad critter like a crab or mantis?

Definitely no mantis. I'm leaning more and more to rock slide. The poor thing must have gotten crushed.

Sorry to hear about losing the pearly. I have a few questions out of curiosity. Was the rock he was under leaning on other rocks for stability? Also was he activity darting from his hole to grab food? Mine doesn't dart a inch from his burrows so I target feed him.

I was target feeding him so he didn't have to dart. The rock was leaning against another rock on one side (I couldn't see it). I thought it was flat on the bottom of the tank, but he dug a big enough area around it and it slid just a bit forward. The rock has been moved to my sump.
