Maroon clown compatibility

Good day,

i got a med. size red maroon in the quarantine now , i want to introuduce him to the MDT in which i hace a 2 yellow ocellaris one med and one small . i am afraif he would fight with them as i bought him b4 proper reading about his attitude... the Q is does adding him to an established tank will be different or he will fight with them anyway??? i dont have nems.

Unless your tank is MASSIVE, it's very doubtful the maroon will get along with them.

You may want to reconsider adding the maroon to the display IMO. They can be quite aggressive toward other clowns. Check out this link.

it is a 55 gallons
even the ocalleris is a year old in the tank? still he will be defenseless!!!

I doubt the ocerllaris will be "defenseless" but does it really matter who wins the fight? It is highly likely that one of them will end up dead or badly beaten. Not recommended.

but, just to provide the "other" side of the story... I do have a single Maroon/Ocellaris hybrid in a 65 gal along with 2 smaller Ocellaris Clowns...
They saw me with the camera so they all lined up for their photo-op: here they are, all swimming happily against the current
