my current tank is a very under stocked 90 gallon with crushed coral. we have sold our house and will be moving into an apartment while our new house is being built. i cannot put the 90 gallon in the apartment due to it's weight, and lack of room. my tank is very under stocked due our house being for sale and not wanting to kill my livestock (i was hoping to buy a house that the tank would fit in, but we couldn't find anything to suit our needs, so we are building). i have someone wanting to trade mine for a 39 gallon. while i have it torn down i'm going to replace the crushed coral with live sand. can i mix some of my coral in with the sand to keep my copepod population? what is the best way to transfer my live stock without over stressing? i am going to fill the 39 gallon with water from the 90, then do a 20% water change every three times three days apart, will this help keep the stress down?
did a pretty large water change, hopefully that will save eveything.
