Sooo, I finally got a macro lens!!! So excited, its been a long time coming lol. Took it for a first day test drive...some pics not so great on technical quality but I still liked them. Will have better pics after a little practice :)

Fantastic shots - would you mind sharing how you take your shots -hope you don't mind me picking your brain
I have canon t3i and have a low end macro f2.5 50mm
Looking to get a rubber lens hood and get up against the glass with tripod low ISO. I don't think my lens lets me focus from so close and tend to get better shots with my zoom from afar and was gonna pull out my basic lens 18-50mm 5.5
