Hi,

I got this used tank which came with sand bed but also had a live rock rubble as top layer of sand bed..is it good or bad? I feel its not pleasing and would like to get rid of it. How can i do that or i just add a new layer of sand over it.

Usually when you mopve an established tank the best thing to do is discard the old sandbed using only enough sand from the old sandbed to seed the new one.

As for the LR it looks like you need a lot more of it. Typically you want about 1 lb of rock per gallon of water, or about 1 kg of rock for 10 l of water.

You might be able to find dry coral rock, which you can add to the tank. In time it will populate with bacteria and other life, making it live rock.
