In-Tank Media

Hi all.
I have an RSM C-130 (second-hand) but have bought a new In-Tank Media Rack and Tunze skimmer (which is much better - quieter/ efficient etc - than the RSM original, IMO).
I have a recurring problem with green algae (non-hairy) covering the walls of my tank.
I am carrying out c.20% water changes every two/three weeks and have introduced GFO and Sea Chem which has slowed down the outbreaks but, every weekend, although it is not particularly thick, I am scraping the stuf off the walls to allow me to clearly see inside!
My current setup in the Rack is:
1 - Filter floss pads x3 covering a small bag of GFO and Sea Chem
2 - Bag of carbon (large)
3 - Bag of ceramic media (large)
I have looked into placing chaeto in the sump and investing in a GFO Reactor but should I simply perform more frequent water changes - 10% weekly?
Any advice gratefully received...:clink:

I would not change anything in your system, unless you see a specific problem. What you have should be good enough for most things.

Thank you, DaveK.
I spoke with a chap at my LFS and he advised the same: all is well - clearing algae from the walls is just a regular part of tank maintenance.
