I need to move a colt coral

Hello, I have an unhappy colt who is attached to a rock way too high. I think it's not happy with all the light and flow. I'm unwilling to move the rock. So,,, I need to cut it off and place it on a smaller rock that I can move around. I propose to use a razor blade and rubber band it to this smaller rock. Sound like a good plan?

Yeah, that will work. You could try using some super glue gel to attach the coral too. Sometimes this works with certain soft corals. GL.

How long has the coral been like that though? Before you cut this thing from the rock you might want to give it another week or so and see if it snaps out of this stupor. Soft corals are notorious for behaving like this.

He's been there a long time frisbee, and looking sad all the whole while. There just wasn't anyplace else to fit the rock.
