I have some really strong rare earth magnets, They come from an MRI/ CAT scan machine They are 1" by 1/4 "square. What can I cover these magnets so I can submerge them in a salt tank? Maybe some plasicote or epoxy paint or such.

Sooner or later anything you coat then with will wear through, crack or otherwise break.

What are you trying to do with them once you get them in the tank? There may be better alternatives.

DaveK sorry for the late response. I thought about making a real strong magfloat type glass cleaner. or any thing else that popped up. I was just curious. For now I use them to hold powerheads in place they are a lot stronger than the ones supplied. Also they make great refrig magnets. If the fridge door gets slammed shut these do not fall off.
