Just joined tonight. I had my first reef over 30 years ago in NJ. Moved to Florida about 25 years ago, tried a reef tank after living here about 5 years, it was a disaster. I said I was done, moved on to parrots I now own 4. Discovered nano cubes a few years ago against my better judgement bought one. fought with it for a couple of years, gave up, and now a couple of years later I'm back. This time it's a 55 gallon like my 1st reef tank only difference is LEDS and T5's instead of MH. Tank will be set up next Friday. Wish me luck.

If you have some choice in the matter, don't use a 55 gal tank. It's very narrow front to back width makes it very difficult to aqua scape.

A 79 gal tank or a 90 gal tank are much better options. Their 18 in width gives you a lot more aquascapeing options.
