Alright hopefully I have this figured out..
About a year ago I started my first marine tank... 6'125 with no sump.. just 3 hobs and marineland leds. High tech stuff.. lol here's a oink to that thread if u want some flashback pics.. there right at the beginning..

I have since added a couple of different sumps.. the first one was a diy 55g on a folding table right below the dt in the basement.. it has since evolved into a 150g sump on the floor in the basement plumbed all over the place with 4 tanks attached...
I would like to give a special thanks to Neptune for the apex.. that is the single piece of equipment that makes 550 gallons manageable for me... if u have the means and multiple tanks I recommend one..

Last but not least I decided at some point that I would like a growout/frag tank.. so I went on the hunt for something large that would fit with no success... I ended up making one out of 3/8 acrylic.. it turned out very nice despite a few hurdles.. lol
