glove polyps don't open

Hi there,

Recently i purchase a glove polyps from LFS, at first it thrive well in the LFS but after i put it into my tank it doesnt want to open after the first day. the coral is close for 4 days now. Help needed. and my previously injured button polyps doesnt open as well.

water parameter is
calcium 440
magnesium 1600
kh =10 dkh
no3 0
no2 0
po4 0

Just give them time to acclimate to your tank. These corals can and will go days to weeks without opening.

Do you have sufficient flow? We have glove polyps that we discovered enjoy some water movement just across the top of them, not directly at them. Maybe yours are the same?

thanks for the advice. i place my close under a shaded area but i think it will get sufficient flow as the whole base will be shaky sometime.

I would give them some time. Mine get pissed for reasons unknown and have stayed closed for 3.5 weeks. So wait and see what happens.

thanks for the speedy respond. i really out of idea for the glove polyps. After you guys told me that just wait for it, meanwhile i will try to shift it to a place that with a flow.
