do nitrites effect shrimp?

about 1.00 but that should change by tommorow because i put in extra biofiltration and did a 25 percent water change.

Nitrites are toxic to fish and even more so to invertebrates like shrimp. If the nitrite levels aren't high enough to kill them outright, they will definitely cause stress and impair growth.

Nitrates aren't toxic to fish but can stress them if they're high but for some inverts they can be very sensitive to high nitrate levels.
