What camera are guy's using to take these beautiful aquarium photos? I need to take some good up to date photos of my tank. After much trial and error I am finally getting a take worth photographing.

I'm using a Canon EOS 6D with a Canon 100mm f2.8 macro lens which is a bit of an overkill but its part of my photographic assignment gears. You can start off with an entry level DSLR + kit lens + lens extender or a decent point and shoot. Nowadays the higher end smartphones are able to produce some pretty good shots as well and you can download the Snapseed app to process the photos (adjust saturation, color balance, sharpness etc) before posting them up. Best time to take will be at night with all the room lights off and only the aquarium lighting switched on.

My pics are a Canon XSi - here the newest model of what I bought a couple years back... value package $700 Canon EOS Rebel T3i 18.0MP DSLR Camera Kit and Extra 75-300mm Zoom Lens - checkout the reviews... you can get a better camera, but for the price, this is a very nice one

shoot in Raw format & read this post for stellar photos - http://www.reefsanctuary.com/forums/aquarium-photography-forum/65495-raw-file.html
to light adjust like a pro...

then spend $59 on Adobe Photoshop Elements 11

DSLR is just a little out of my price range plus l know about absolutely nothing about real picture taking. I was actually looking a couple of bridge cameras. Fuji SL1000 or the Canon SX50 .
