I have a crab in my live rock.
It must be a hitchhiker as I haven't put it in there.
Can anybody ID it?
Is it reef safe?
Thanks in advance...:winky:

Hard to see but you are at risk with mostly all crabs except and emerald, however, if hungry, crabs are opportunistist and may seize the slow movers or non movers. As DaveK said, remove.

Glass trap maybe although this never worked for me.
Obliterated one with a fork and the fish cleaned up.

Unfortunately another lesson in keeping pest out.
LFS live is generally not clean of pests.

Sorry bout that!

Thank you both.
It is interesting that you suggest that the crab could pose a risk to slow-movers as I have lost two turbo snails in as many nights!
This little critter is now prime suspect!

Snails good, crab bad.
I know people will disagree, but I consider crabs pests. All crabs.
Had one years ago grab an ocellaris at night from the belly in swimming position and then walk around the tank as if it was a trophy
Snails missing. Guaranteed
