However, this is an older fixture. Unless you already have several Vega's and you need to replace one, and you want them all to look alike, you would be much better off getting one of the newer AI fixtures such as a Hydra 52 or Prime.

DaveK, thank you very much for the info. The one I am looking to replace is one of 4 that I have above my tank. I wasn't sure if I could mix the fixtures for functionality reasons. What are your thoughts on have 3 Vega and one of the newer models? Will it be odd to control with my director or cause inconsistencies with the visual of the lighting?
I'm not sure which controller the Vega's use. The new controller will support the older devices.
I converted four Hydra's to Hydra 52's using the conversion kit. My existing controller supported the upgrades with a software upgrade.
Because the new lighting has more features and options, you might want to set it up as a separate fixture to be controlled, and you might have to program it a bit differently to match the Vegas. However, you should be able match the Vega's look.
To be sure, why not ask AI on the support area of their site. They are good about getting back to you.
I see the bigger danger being you like the new fixture so much better that you want to replace the old ones. (grin)
BTW, the fixture is easy to take apart and repair about all you need is a set of torx screwdrivers, and some care. AI has a video on this on their site.
