Has anyone successfully bread chromis? Does anyone know where I can get more info on this? I know chromis have been known to breed in captivity I'm just researching on how to raise the fry.
Blue green chromis are pretty hardy, but it's kinda weird that it's hard to get them to breed. I suppose that maybe the reason might be that the fry are more sensitive to water parameters? Anyone have any input on that idea?
I've got green chromis dropping eggs right now and in the same tank Banghai are ready to breed again...with egg scatterers like green chromis you need a way to separate the eggs from tankmates....like eggcrate screens...the fry are very small and need zooplankton and phytoplankton, possibly cyclops after absorbing their yolk sacks and of course separation from other fish..therefore a breeding tank may be set up with eggcrate screens and then the parents removed after spawning...Capt Kaos
