Bimini Trip

Hey guys, I did a Memorial Day trip a little while ago, thought I might share some pics and videos.

These are from a wreck of a concrete ship- somehow they work, don't know how- that was built by Henry Ford. It ran aground a while ago and still stands in 20 feet of water.

That's me jumping off the very bow of it- I didn't realize it was such a tall jump so I lost my cool on the way down.

The other pic is looking off the deck towards our boat (the one closest to you)

Absolutely ZERO editing. The water is that clear.

Deep Cut waiting to anchor (our boat)

Coral Head by the Three Sisters Rocks

The wreck of the Sapona, full view

The wreck's propeller

Orange Cup (or sun?) coral inside the wreck

Some random protrusion. The Ship's stern and helm fell off in a tropical storm, so my guess is this is some part of the ship's rear. It's a cool shot, I think.

I'm going to go a little off topic and post a video from today. We were out spearfishing and came across loads of sargasso, so I jumped in with my GoPro expecting game fish hovering under it. Didn't get quite that, but saw some neat sights.

I nearly got to film a sailfish. The birds were diving at the water and fish were jumping, and we cruised by one of the splashes to check it out. We see the bill and sail, I get my gear together to jump in, and it's gone. That's the second time I've nearly gotten into the water with one. Third time will be the charm.

Those are very good pictures, thanks for sharing them.
Did you see very many fish :fishy: or take pictures of any fish? :fishy:

In Bimini? Tons of fish, but not many pictures. My mask is giving me trouble and it makes it nearly impossible to dive past 25 feet without getting a major eye squeeze. I'll look around.

Are you equalizing the pressure in your sinuses? That should stop the pressure feeling around your eyes from the mask. As you descend every few feet, pinch your nose closed and blow so your ears pop. That's what the holes in the mask on either side under your nose are for, or why some masks have just a piece of rubber over your nose.

Yes. I have no problem with that. The thing is, my mask doesn't have the bridge piece separating the lenses. It's not an oval mask, but it's one continuous piece of glass:http://www.girldiver.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Cressi-Frameless.jpg

problem is, I have more air volume in there now. So when I dive, I have to equalize the air INSIDE the mask. I try to breathe through the nose piece into the mask, but the bubbles always shoot out the side. Not sure what it is.

It's a great fit, and it's really nice, the FOV is amazing, and it's pretty new. I can't just spend more money on a new one right now. I'll try to figure it out.
