It's not going to hurt anything to add the sump. However, it only adds about 11 gal of water to the system and costs about $300.

I would say that if you have some very specific plans for the sump, it might be an advantage to add it. If not, skip it at least for now. You can always go back and add it later.

If you are in a position to spend more money on the system, you could also put the money toward an RSM E 260 which would give you even more water and a larger tank.
