Hey guys,
i just bought a coupled hundred pounds of well established rock from a friend of mine who was getting out of the business and i need to know if i can add it right to my tank.my only fear was that it's been sitting for 1 day.i transported it in rubbermaid 26 gallon trash cans and just brought them in the house.are they okay to add now?also has anyone ever used ammonia and nitrate detoxifier?my ammonia and nitrated are okay i was just wondering,i thought of using some in case i get any spikes.
I have a 90 gallon reef with lots of corals,too many to metion,and a 30 gallon sump.

You might want to find an aquarium or rubber maid tub to re cure all that rock in to be safe, you may not want to risk all your stock that you already have. Well I guess I'm kinda dumb as you have the tubs just put a power head in them and kinda cycle them a couple of weeks to be safe if you want to. OK after looking at the main tank picture you posted, you want to put them in I'd definitely cure the rock again before adding.

Don't risk it, after sitting that long in those conditions its going to cycle, get heat and flow in the tubs,do waterchanges every 2 or 3 days, maybe add a deli shrimp in a bag to see if it spikes, monitor the ammonia and nitrite, when its done add maybe 10 lbs a week, expect something to happen anyway and have water prepared for changes.
The ammonia and nitrite detoxifiers are a waste of money, take your time and let it do its thing
