I have a refugium, a display one that i'm not sure a 24/7 photoperiod would benefit.

However i found on facebook a newbee with a small fuge with such an arrangement tha might be good for my pod farm.

Having seen his growth and the abundance in critters in his makes me wonder if the interuption of light is necessary to a pod's development or not, what do you think ?

Taken from my microscope certain pictures are quite revealing of the work some of those critters do.

The worms gather the sand and what ever particules are traped into clumps

I see no benefit in running light 24/7. Unless you've a type of algae your wanting to keep from going sexual. Otherwise everything needs down time, IMO. :)

I agree with Nanareefer. As far as I know every thing that lives of of light needs a break. Now how long that break is might be an hour of 2. I think I would try 20 on 4 off and see how it works.
