Hello all
I am currently running a Tunze 9001 skimmer in the back of my RSM130D, but am really after a skimmer that surface skims. I know a lot of people run the media rack and tunze 9001/9002. but have taken out the media rack and am using a canister filter for running my mechanical filtration...
The rear sump of my RSM 130 is level with water across all chambers with no movement.
My question is, behind the gate (1st chamber) shouldn't the water have a "Waterfall" effect dropping water down into the chamber from the display section of the tank?
I have a Media rack set up behind the gate...
I have a lifereef system that I am wanting to sell as I don't have my tank anymore. It's for a RSM 250. Can send you pics, It just needs good cleaning. Asking 700 am willing to ship.
Original RSM 130.

Bubbles are being made and are just not reaching into the cup.

Heard the way to go on replacement was with a Tunze 9001.
Has anyone installed this without a media rack?
Or is a media rack required...
Took the top off and have attached a Kessil gooseneck on the back of my RSM 130 next to the skimmer.
I have it clamped to the plastic (not the tank) which is very thin and when I walk by the tank the kessil starts bouncing slightly.
Is this a sturdy enough location?
I know attaching it to the...
Purchased a used, up and running RSM 130.

It...

The adventure begins! My RSM 650 delivered on Friday (10/7/16), and it was a great weekend putting it together. This system is amazing. Time to start brewing some water, and then I'll be calling Richard at Tampa Bay Saltwater to place my rock and sand order.
Special thanks to Vivid...
Stay tuned. The order has been placed. I have been a spectator for a while now, but the new house and pocketbook are finally ready to begin this adventure.
Hey everyone I am looking for a skimmer flap for a Red Sea Max 250 hood. If you've gone rimless, or done other mods and you are not using the original hood and have this flap available I am interested in buying it for you.
Thanks!
Jack
I was looking to add some Loc Line plumbing to my RSM S series. I tried 1/2" female elbow barb adapter and 3/4". The 1/2" barb seemed a bit loose for the green tubing, and 3/4" was too big.
Is this possible to do...
I recently upgrade my lights and skimmer and no longer need the original Red Sea Max S 500 T5 light fixture and C-Skimm 1800. Both have been in a smoke free home.
I will provide photos later, but the lights are in great shape and worked great for the last 4 years. However the bulbs are almost a...
Hello all. My name is Larry and I live near Annapolis Maryland. I am brand new to the saltwater hobby. I recently converted a 20 hex fresh to saltwater which I plan to use long term as my quarantine tank, and then just purchased a new RSM E-260 over the weekend. I set the new E260 up this...
New home, new build...
I have been in the hobby for about 12 years and had several different aquariums throughout the years including complete custom systems and various "package" systems. I've owned the original RSM 250 & a RSM S-650 and I was always impressed with the build quality, but not...
