i have had one for a while when i first got it, my yellow tang harassed it and it let out the purple ink. i ran extra canister filter with carbon and it cleared it up,to date i have no loss of life in my tank, also no hair algae:D

Hi Brucey not been on for ages coz of work but i have maxi's on system 2000 wavemaker i got from a local shop, i have most the ph's hidden in the rock work. Oh my tank is 7' L 2' 6"W 2' D. I got to say i agree with what cosmic and mojoreef are saying :D

I think that a mix of both types of water movement is the way to go as in the ocean the water movement changes constantly . I'm experimenting with this, i have oceanrunner6500 sump return and a eheim 1060 running spray bars at each end of the tank, also 8 maxijet 1200 powerheads running on...

all i did to prime mine was to suck on the pump outlet pipe to drag the water down then switched on the pump and it just went :)

i have a Turboflotor and clean the cup and tube every other day and the whole thing once a month:)

Can anyone tell me if you can purchase spares for ro units coz i've searched and only come up with compelete units and replacement cartridges, during a cold spell the cap exploded on the membrane cartridge so i need a new cap thanks in advance:)

i used to use IO when i first started and moved to kent four years ago, i like it because it's cheap but still up there with more expensive brands in the ca department etc. but i am thinking of changing to reef crystals as several friends recommend them but i don't know what to do my tank is so...

yeah i have a bad problem with humidity not long had a de-humidifier and it seems to be clearing it up for me at last cannot plumb a drain in though so have to empty it everyday. but at least my room is drying out might even be able to redecorate soon:D

if you know which area of rocks it hides put the trap as close as you can more likey to catch it good luck :D

do you have any powerheads on a wavemaker as i had powerheads make funny clicking noises now and then on start up on my wavemaker just a thought:)
