Hi guys.

I have set up a 130d about five weeks ago, I have just started to add some fish, the 130d is my first marine time although I have kept freshwater fish for many years, the tank came with the upgrade kit to install a water chiller or reactor I believe, does anybody know if I could use this upgrade kit to run a sump in addition to the existing sump at the back of the tank, if so how would I go about this. I would appreciate any advice

Exactly what upgrade kit do you have? I believe several different ones have been made.

On sumps on a 130D in general. This is a fairly small tank. While any tank can benefit from using a sump, as you go smaller in tank size, a sump becomes less cost effective. In other words, adding a sump will cost far more than any benefits you'll get from it. You would likely do better putting the money toward a different upgrade, or toward a larger tank.
