a guess... some type of a macro algae - maybe a type of caulerpa

Don't know the name, but I had it quite sometime ago, very much a PITA, I pulled it all out and lowered phosphate to 0.05.

Hi I had some in my 15 gallon tank at first it looks good but then it begins to grow and it will not stop. I had to tear it out of my sand and had to loose some sand in the process.i would suggest you remove it as soon as possible!
