Back in the saddle again

Hi guys, I: am venturing back into the wonderful world of reefing again. I kept reef tanks many years ago - like 1992-2000, my have things changed in the hobby. New house and new Red Sea E-max 260. Installed the tank last week, starting with 60Lbs of dry rock and 40lbs of Caribsea special grade sand. Added about 10lbs of LR from my LFS and just waiting now for the cycle to complete. Exciting times!! This is the aquascape before the LR

I took a short 5 year break and I'm amazed how much has changed in just 5 years let alone many more.

Reefing is reefing so remember nothing GOOD happens FAST in a reef tank.

Thanks guys, got about 8 lbs of LR fr0m my LFS - didn't want more because I want open space for fish and flow. Set up the Jebao dosing pump to add top-off for now and 2 part later when needed. Ordered a Tunze 6040 to connect to the Apex for some more flow. Figure I'll let things marinate for a bit and add a cleanup crew. Not sure if Ill get a true cycle and corresponding algae bloom. Have to keep telling myself to be patient!
