Redsea max e 260 newbie

Hi my name is Chris, just purchased a redsea max e260 (used) 5 months old

Had it for 2 weeks, so far so good, traumatic move day, but things quickly settled!!

First bit of advice sought if possible, in running a sump underneath, struggling to keep a level in the rear chamber? Seems to drop from 1cm below overflow pipe to about 5cm below over flow pipe in 3 days? Is this normal? Auto top up is emptying but level of display keeps dropping??

Any advice welcome??

Reef systems can evaporate a tremendous amount of water. My 125 gal reef can go through about a bucket of water a day in winter.

The best solution is to use an ATO (Automatic Top Off) to add RO/DI makeup water to your sump.

That's the one I happen to use, but there are plenty of others out there that area also good.

In that case, I suspect that the auto top off isn't working correctly, or is far too small for your tank. If it were working, you wouldn't see a drop in the level of the sump until the ato supply tank was empty.
