Well as with most things, the plans have changed. Money isn't the issue, but current need and value is. I decided to not get the apex and instead to build a power control system myself.

Ok so pictures of progress tomorrow when I get settled in. That said, we had a rough day today. First thing is we know the rule, never get attached to a fish and understand loss is part of the hobby. But even though we know, tonight we lost Foxy (fox face) and we are pretty bummed about it. We figure we know why, but I won't go blaming the roommate for his actions while I was gone. So moving on...

As you can see I still need to do a wire hide and some housekeeping under the tank, but it's coming along. Blue is not doing so hot. He is hiding 24/7 behind the rocks cape and hasn't been eating much. The sail fin was being a major dick and I think it took its toll.
On another not so good note, my wall hammer is struggling....

So many changes and updates. Unfortunately I lost the wall hammer and the blue tang. The wall hammer never adjusted well and has been struggling from the start. The blue tang was picked on to much by the sail fin to the point he just hid and stopped eating.
I added all the wemo's for remote access during water changes and also added a wifi water sensor which is on top of the overflow at the moment. The tank is doing well and I love seeing my pod population grow in preparation for the mandarin [emoji41]

So we added some new additions to the tank. We are tired of losing fish that cost a mint and always looking at a tank that appears empty so we got these guys. The wrasse already killed one so he is on the watch list. He attacks another fish and he is gone.

Yeah they have been schooling the whole time. A hole killed one but that's why I bought 10. O here's hoping for the next 9 to live

We are down to 6 chromis but we are good with that. No sign of why they died so the wrasse is still in our tank. I'll try to post pictures today, but everything is going pretty good. Just not the coralline and coral growth I want at this point.

I think it's very, very normal to lose chromis. So, I wouldn't take it personally.

Keeping Chromis is an ongoing battle to keep the numbers up they just seem to dwindle away for no apparent reason are used to keep 20 at a time, every time they went down to 10 I had to restock.
