New two the world of fish

Have a 6 gallon desk tank for my wife, looking to add more color for my clown fish

I remember my nano from last year, had so much fun with it.
As soon you have convinced your wife and go bigger it is even more fun.

Just curious, what are you doing to keep everything stable? Just waterchanges, or another system?

Can anyone tell me what this is. At first thought it was coralline as some of its hard. I do see some string like areas now

They are hitch hikers from live rock and usually don't do anything bad. I have a few small ones that look like the one in your pic. Although if you could get a better picture of it from the front that would let us all see it better to make sure it's a starfish.
They eat a whole bunch of different things in the tank, some people get different species for parts of their clean up crew. That one is so small it won't be noticeable what it does or doesn't do, but I'm pretty sure it won't harm anything.
